Summer camps for teens offered
June 08, 2012
The City of Carlsbad's Parks & Recreation Department is offering summer camps for teens starting June 18.
- Explorer Camp - a full-day program for 11- to 13-year-old campers, as well as 10-year olds with supervisor approval. Campers will have certain scheduled activities each day and then will get a chance to choose their own from a list of activities.
- C.I.T. (Counselor in Training) Camp – a full-day leadership program for 13- to 15-year-olds. The program blends structure and fun, responsibility and free time, learning and leadership opportunities. Teens will spend time with their peers in the C.I.T. program, learning new skills and gaining insight into what may lead to future camp employment.
The cost is $140 for residents and $150 for non-residents. Camps include three field trips each week.
